That's fair. I wasn't expecting you to be an expert on the subject, admittedly.

My world had something... vaguely similar, though not entirely: magical energy.
The world's leylines, the remnants of the great Yggdrasil-- the source of all magic.
Stray too far without a router or a battery backup, and your magic would cease to exist.
An invisible energy in the air all around us, unseen but very useful.

Oh, that's cool! We don't have magic so it's been interesting hearing about people that do, and the magic of this world.

How does that work for you, coming here? Do you... still need a battery or a similar source like you had, or did it... adapt?

Magical energy seems to be abundant here, actually.
I've not encountered any problems. If anything, it's been easier to use magic here than back home.

I have my own theories on that, but I won't bore you with the details. They'd likely be meaningless to you anyway.

Yeah I have no reference to understand any of it. I hope you have someone you CAN talk about it to?

I bet easier use of magic helps with your flying broom, huh? [because of course it would circle back to that. come on.]

I don't have anyone with whom I can discuss magical theory, if that's what you mean.
It isn't a problem, though. I'm not bothered.

It is nice to not have to worry about taking it too far from the leylines, I'll grant.

You should find someone! If it interests you, it should be fun to share it with other people! It's too bad you probably can't share it with the locals, huh... that'd give away that you're not from here.

Obviously not the locals. They're fairly tolerant of magic in general, but the specifics may not be what they're used to.

I have spoken with several other magic-users and compared notes, so to speak, but it's not a consistent arrangement.
And any others from my school are still in stasis.

If one of us could mistakenly affect the entire network, though, I would suggest the Orbiters need better security.
