I don't think laziness is going to win anyone any points in this city. I'd love to just laze around in bed, but I can't.

[Ah, he's free and he doesn't even realize it...]

Tell that to Snake. It took me twenty minutes just to get him to let me leave earlier. Decent chance he'll still be asleep when I get home again.

[Don't get him wrong, being a lazy asshole for a living would be a great time, but at least Junpei can recognize that they have to actually live in the world, and sleeping all the time won't make that happen.]

[Explains the "thing" from earlier than.]

[Wow that's a good question, is he... No, that's Junpei. He's surprised enough by the bluntness of her question to laugh, though.]

As much as anybody would be after the end of the world? He, uh... likes to sleep. [lazy...] It'll be fine either way—he's got me, so...

[He shrugs, like this isn't a really dorky thing to say. Junpei's bagel delivery and moral support is all a person needs, for sure.]

He should get out though.

[She stares at him for just a moment, considering. He's... far too kind. She's already called him too trusting.

She hopes that doesn't get shattered one day.]

But if you say so. [She pushes aside her plate, lighting up.] We should save up some money and take him out to party! Akechi can come out too I guess.

To—okay, what kind of party are we talking about here? With two wet blankets? [No offense, dudes who aren't here to defend themselves. It's not you, it's them. Junpei doesn't really party, either...]

[Spoilers Anemone is gonna give Junpei such a hard time over milk in like a day.]

Uh, you know... they both complain a lot? I'm pretty sure "wet blanket" is the right thing to say about that kind of guy...

Which guy? Snake or Akechi? I honestly don't know how Akechi would be at a party. I didn't see him at the party at the outpost. [She was trying not to see him, sure.] Besides, it's not really to have fun... just... get out. Be around people. Good for all of us.

Guys who complain and make pointed comments with attitude, so both of them, definitely. [And yet they're alright? Snake is great, Akechi is okay.]

I mean, we can all hang out... Just psyching myself up in advance.

Oh. Well. I've probably been around worse before. We'll make it work. [SHE SEEMS REALLY DETERMINED ABOUT THIS. She probably shouldn't even be making plans for someone she's never even met but whatever. It's fine.] I mean, I match attitude with attitude. [Or she brings her own brand of awfulness to the table. She's a delight, right?]

But anyway, I should probably be responsible and get down to the market and see if anyone has any deliveries that need tending to. [Ugh, work.]

[Maybe Junpei shouldn't be signing up his lazy roommate to hang out with sassy teenagers, but inevitably they will all three sass him personally into a corner and he'll see the error of his ways. Then do it again the next week?

So. It's a great plan.] You sure do...

[He means that in the nicest way. But ugh, work, indeed. He'll have to get that extra bagel!!]

I should go wake Snake up for the day, I guess.

[She does take it as a compliment though, so lucky him.

She slides out of her seat, deciding to go grab a glass of juice "for the road" to see if it'll teleport with her or just end up in limbo, and then finds Junpei again.]

You think we can aim to teleport like... on the edges of the city, out of view? Maybe I can just teleport straight home. [Which would be a hilarious way to scare Akechi, but he might already be out.] Last thing I need is popping in front of some old lady by mistake.

[Junpei takes this time to actually acquire another bagel, which he has in a convenient to-go baggie. He feels good about the probability of this bagel making it planetside in one piece and not, like, fused into his chest or something gross. How does teleporting even work...?]

Do you remember the spot we left from...? That was pretty out of the way. [And there is something to be said for consistency, he thinks. It was a Good Spot.]

[That would be the most embarrassing thing, really. And she'd make fun of him about it forever. And also be extremely horrified.]

Um... [She squints at the ceiling as she maps it out in her head.] I think so? [They really needed a teleporting 101, thanks Sael.]

[He'll try his best to keep the bagel and his feeble noodle body separate, okay!! Doing his best with the directions they've been given, or the complete lack thereof. "Think really hard and it happens"... It's no wonder he's had to mentally reconfigure it as SHIFT Lite.]

Do we need to link arms and sing a song first? [flatly, he says this, like it's not laughable at all.] Maybe that's the secret.

[Don't temp her, she will.

Never mind, too late, she's twirling around, juice still in one hand, and linking arms, mildly singing under her breath.] Phasin' around, heading down town~

[Poof. She's gone.

...And halfway across town from where she's supposed to be. At least no one saw her. And she's oddly closer to the Market District. Whoops. She sighs and takes out her phone to text him.]

Not dead. Made it back. Still have my juice! Totally overshot my destination. ...Have a good day, I guess?

[Yeah, this was definitely the best plan. Junpei doesn't sing, himself, the hypocrite - and maybe that's why she once again manages to pop out of there before he does. He has no reason to hang around, so he and his bagel are back on the ground and bumping unceremoniously into a tree - he planned this well - when he gets her text.]
